Sources#

Source ids, titles, publishers, URLs, and retrieval markers are carried over verbatim from _research/income-protection.md (the citation ground truth for [S#]/[R#] tags; ids S1–S12 and R1–R10 are frozen and never renumbered). All sources in the research file are cited in product-spec.md or technical-notes.md, so none are dropped. No new sources were fetched at drafting; nothing is marked “added at drafting”.

Access date for all citations: 2026-08-03. (The research file’s access-date field was originally left unfilled and has since been corrected to 2026-08-03, consistent with the shared UK regulatory library _research/regulatory-actuarial.md, compiled in the same working session.)

Cross-product regulatory references [REG-R#]#

These are cited with the [REG-R#] prefix to avoid collision with the product research file’s own R-numbering. Full annotated entries (titles, publishers, URLs, retrieval markers, access date 2026-08-03) live in _research/regulatory-actuarial.md (the research provenance); the shared reference library is references/regulatory-and-actuarial-references.md (same R-numbering, R1–R38 frozen). Provenance note#

Extraction details live in _research/income-protection.md: that file records which facts came from which source, including the unverified flags, the fetched_ok = false entries (R9, R10), the mirror-hosting caveat for S4 and S9 (retrieved from intermediary mirrors at lifequote.co.uk because the insurer originals are bot-blocked or superseded; document codes recorded for re-verification), and the edition-mismatch caveats (LV= S3 vs S4; Cirencester S11 vs S12; The Exeter S7/S8 vs S9 — the newest contractual document is preferred where numbers conflict). The cross-product bibliography _research/regulatory-actuarial.md plays the same role for [REG-R#] tags. Standardizations marked std in product-spec.md and technical-notes.md are introduced at drafting and are not attributable to any source; the std morbidity proxy tables in technical-notes.md are placeholders shaped like the CMI IP11 structure and are NOT CMI values (actual IP11 rates are restricted to CMI Authorised Users).
